Plasma Games is an educational game company. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of science leaders by making entertainment-quality games to supplement STEM classes. Our first game, Sci-Ops: Global Defense, is a turn-based strategy game designed to supplement high school chemistry and physical science classes, which are the area of greatest need in K-12.
Full Stack Developer

Plasma Games is looking for someone to be the primary point person for all things backend and frontend. Your responsibilities will be to maintain our existing infrastructure and add new features, which will include anything from backend services to game client integration to new pages on the company website. Our multi-disciplinary team is excited to create the best in educational video games, and we need you to help make that happen.

Required:
  • Proven experience architecting backend systems with related tools (Node.js, MongoDB)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of HTML & CSS
  • Intimate familiarity of Javascript
  • Experience creating and using RESTful API
  • Comfortable using Git for source control
  • Capable of architecting and maintaining all server, website, and API functionality
  • Comfortable working in a rapid-fire startup environment
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in Full Stack development OR a combined minimum 6 years professional experience in Backend and Frontend development
Preferred:
  • Backend tools: Mongoose, Express.js

Multimedia Graphics Designer

Plasma Games is looking for an experienced Multimedia Designer with a focus on gaming and proven experience with UI/UX design. You will be responsible for creating game, web, and print-ready graphics, icons, and user interfaces. You will work with our educational development teams to create layouts, build pages, and communicate scientific ideas in our gameplay environment; with our web development team to update and improve our website frontend; and with our marketing team to update our social media presence and improve brand visibility, and to create marketing and educational materials as needed for print or web.

Required:
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Demonstrated ability to take a design from wireframe to published work
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Solid communications skills are a must in both written and spoken English
  • Social media literate
Preferred:
  • Interest or background in K-12 education is a huge plus
  • Proficiency with Adobe After Effects & Premiere (or equivalent) is a major plus

Plasma Games is based in North Carolina and has in-roads to a significant share of the high schools and middle schools in our home state. Now we want to expand. We are looking for senior sales representatives to bring our products to the teachers and students in your state, (preferably) starting with California, Texas, New York, and Florida.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the full cycle sales process for your state or territory
  • Strategize and execute on the best path forward in your educational system, given your stakeholders, etc.
  • Research, target, and contact leads up and down the decision hierarchy (often including science teachers up to district IT purchasers)
  • Align stakeholders, negotiate deals, and drive relationship through to close
  • Identify, exhibit, and present at conferences to build awareness and fuel demand
  • Grow and expand customer product adoption by increasing use and referrals within districts
  • Track and report progress to executive leadership
  • Identify corporate and other partnership opportunities to accelerate growth
  • (Growth Opportunity) Manage lobbying, public relations, and/or marketing efforts to accelerate growth
Required:
  • Locations: California, Texas, New York, and Florida preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales; 10+ preferred
  • Experience in K-12 education, either science teaching or sales; software sales to high schools and/or high school chemistry teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the relationship and ensure every district, school, teacher, and student has a successful experience with our products
  • On-board customers, answer questions, and train users on the product
  • Manage district and school accounts, track customer product usage, renewals, and service requests
  • Grow and expand customer product adoption with high-touch customer relationships
  • Be the voice of customers in our product development process to drive new products and features or improve business processes
  • Support the sales team by generating customer lists, drafting email campaigns, scheduling demos, and consolidating tracking reports

Required:

Responsibilities:

  • Support executive leadership by managing customer touchpoints, reviewing customer communications, and scheduling meetings
  • Support the sales team by managing customer touchpoints, scheduling meetings, and coordinating conferences

Required:
